Meet the Hames-McDonough team

In her 20+ year career as a Realtor, Angela has helped over a thousand families and investors purchase and sell properties in Minnesota and Wisconsin. This experience spans urban and rural, vacation homes, hobby farms, and investments properties. You can count on Angela to guide you through the process, knowing she has your best interests at heart and the experience to handle whatever pops up. In addition to leading her Real Estate team, Angela and her husband Derrek have been married 30 years and have raised three awesome children; a Florist, an Artist and a U.S. Marine. Angela is an animal lover, with three dogs and a beautiful horse. When she is not working you can find Angela on the trails riding, in the garden, cooking or crocheting something warm.

Shannon is a full time Realtor, wife, mom, neighbor, friend, daughter, entrepreneur, investor and lake life lover. She has been working in the real estate industry since 2001. While going to college Shannon started working as a processor for a large title company and then obtained her real estate license in 2004. From the beginning of Shannon's career, she and Angela worked side by side fostering relationships and building their businesses. Once the duo reached a ceiling of achievement they decided to form a partnership in 2009 and hit the ground running. They formed the Hames-McDonough Real Estate Group which has successfully been assisting buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals at a high level. They take pride in their knowledge of how to navigate the hurdles of shifting markets and staying two steps ahead in order to guide their clients in difficult situations.

Andrea is a full time Realtor who has been in the industry since 2015, when she joined the Hames-McDonough Real Estate Group as an Assistant. She quickly became a duly licensed Realtor in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Andrea has a long history of customer service and strives to give every client a top notch experience. From rural homes to urban living, hobby farms to lake homes, and everything in between-Andrea has the expertise and passion to help you navigate your real estate goals. She is a wife and a mom to two wonderful kids and they enjoy living in her hometown of Chisago City. They love being active and doing anything outdoors including camping, playing with their dog, gardening, raising chickens, playing golf and tennis, boating, fishing and so much more. Andrea truly loves being a Realtor and is proud to be a part of the Hames-McDonough Real Estate Group.

Jackie joined the Hames-McDonough Team in 2022 and immediately hit the ground running! Coming from a background as a Stay-at-Home Mom and avid volunteer, a career in real estate seemed like the perfect fit; combining her love of connecting and socializing with helping people. She works tirelessly to expand her industry knowledge, and with the support of the entire team, has successfully found a fit for her ‘go-getter’ personality. She calls Lake Elmo home with her husband and two sons where they enjoy time with friends and family around the neighborhood. They love their time up North and annual vacations to sunny Florida. On the weekends, you can find Jackie’s family cheering on the Vikings or watching movies.

As our Transaction & Listing Coordinator, Rachel keeps everything on track from contract to close (& beyond!). Rachel ensures that every client receives exceptional communication and customer service while also tackling any task that comes her way. Her incredible operational skills keep the wheels turning and are a proven asset to the entire team.

Katie joined our team as our Director of Sales and Marketing in early 2024 after over 12 years in the mortgage industry. She brings a unique skillset, having worked in a real estate adjacent field and bringing a wealth of knowledge as it pertains to the market and industry as a whole. With an eye for design and attention to detail, we count on Katie for all marketing related needs, with a heavy emphasis on showcasing our listings through digital and print marketing.
